The great breath of Turkish music, the master of masters,
Prof. Niyazi Sayın,
on October 8, 2025 passed into the mercy of God.
This great artist, who devoted his life to conveying wisdom to the human soul through the breath of the ney,
was honored twice with the title of State Artist.
For him, the ney was not merely an instrument, but a language of wisdom,
a voice of the heart; with its sound, it brought peace to souls
and awakened a deep subtlety within hearts.
An era, a tradition, and a symbol of elegance has passed from among us;
yet his breath will continue to live on in his students and in our hearts.
